Today we are reading a novel called The color purple by Alice Walker. We toke some notes and did a sentence response on each letter.

We just did lesson 2 of the vocabulary. We did some questions with it too. That's pretty much it.

Today we were supposed to read a passage but ended up doing our second vocabulary words and finishing the test we did Friday.

Today we read a passage and cited textual evidence. Our bell ringer was the same as yesterday where we needed to use 5 words from our vocabulary into a sentence. The passage we read was about dress codes and the punishment for it. Answered a few questions as well.

Today we went over a passage that talked about car crashes. We answered 3 questions and then continue to the next assignment. We do vocabulary.

Today we did review how to cite textual evidence. We read a passage on teenagers driving and wrote notes. We answered a few questions at the end about the passage.

Today we finished the benchmark test. I think I did well, I found out I had a good grade for the first part so I hope I have a good grade for the second part.

Today we started the 2nd benchmark test. We only answer 12 questions today and the rest we will do tomorrow.

Today we read a poem called "Out Out". The poem was about a boy who was using a saw and when his sister said supper, the saw cut his arm and he died. We read, analyze and answer questions.
